Minutes of the General Membership Meeting
June 10, 2006

A quorum was declared.

Minutes of the last Board of Directors meeting at Issues Management in April will be filed as emailed.

Corresponding Secretary Larry Renda reported that ?thank you?s? have been going out timely as donations are reported to him.

Kathy Hardesty presented the Treasurer?s report. Motion was made by Lorraine Pollock and seconded by Louise Miller that the treasurer?s report be filed for audit. Motion carried. Kathy reported that the Hog Calling of the previous evening raised $17, 090.65.

Verbal house liaison reports were presented.

UCF student and BPW house resident, Danielle Fritzsche gave a wonderful presentation about the UCF house. She explained what is expected of residents and how they fulfill roles to learn about living together and running a household.

There is a new Tallahassee LO that gave their charter information to the Executive Committee this weekend and we welcomed them and requested they apply to be the LO liaison for the FSU scholarship house.

Christine Weigle presented the information about St. Petersburg College and the intent of the Foundation to move forward in building a house on the campus of St. Pete College.

Carolyn Wiggins presented the information from Latitudes in Learning. The Foundation has agreed to allow this company to find grant money for the Foundation. In exchange, they get a percentage of any monies that are awarded. This is a positive endeavor for the Foundation in that it may aide in getting more houses built more quickly.

There were no nominations from the floor. The Officers were therefore accepted as a single slate.

Various announcements were presented.

Meeting adjourned at 5:24 PM.
